An Estuary and Education Industry Association Announce National Partnership

BALTIMORE, MD — An Estuary, a Baltimore-based technology company, and the Education Industry Association, one of the nation’s leading education trade organizations, announce that they are partnering to deliver EIA University (EIA-U) in an online format. EIA-U is a new professional development program for education entrepreneurs and business leaders among EIA's national membership of over 300 companies. Courses will be also be available to non-members on a subscription basis.

Featuring a curriculum built by the Education Industry Association and led by industry practitioners, EIA University’s online courses will run on Sanderling, An Estuary’s social platform for professional development.

“We designed EIA-U after talking with startups and mature company executives, who are interested in receiving support from industry experts using this novel platform. Sessions can be accessed anytime, or synchronously to have a group interactive experience. We are excited with the Sanderling solution because of the added value of the social media connections participants will make,” says Steve Pines, EIA’s Executive Director.

Courses will be available in a variety of disciplines including K-12 sales, pricing strategies, talent management, financing, and integrated marketing. The courses are designed to solve practical business challenges and participants will earn EIA-certified digital badges.

“EIA University will offer world-class programs to participants across the spectrum of the education industry,” said Shelly Blake-Plock, CEO of An Estuary, “and the Sanderling platform will bring the immediacy and networked power of social media to the professional development of industry leaders and education entrepreneurs.”
